From idea to reality: renewable energies through citizen participation

Grenzland Bürgerenergie eG was set up on 4 July 2022 with 28 members in Ellhöft. So far,
2,153 people and companies have decided to join us on this journey. Our members have
generated a total of €12,251,000 in equity capital.
Let's explain why we've chosen this path. We'll be talking about our successes, the
challenges we've faced, and the pros and cons of a citizen cooperative.
Our work should be economical, ecological and sustainable. Everyone in Schleswig-
Holstein can get involved. We think it's our civic duty to actively contribute to the
development and climate neutrality of the region.
