Empowering the energy transition with blue GIS
A sustainable future requires innovative, environmentally friendly, and digital solutions. Our blue GIS portfolio for medium-voltage power distribution is ready for the energy transition and drives digital transformation forward.
At our booth 2C01, we are showcasing the new gas-insulated switchgear NXPLUS C 24 for primary distribution networks up to 24 kV, with 25 kA short-circuit current, 2500 A busbar current, and 2000 A feeder rating. The systems in the blue GIS portfolio use proven Siemens vacuum technology and offer all the advantages of gas-insulated switchgear.
With available typicals such as circuit-breakers, bus couplers, and disconnectors — as well as the double busbar duplex configuration — the NXPLUS C 24 is suitable for use in substations and switching stations, as well as in a wide range of other power supply applications. The hermetically sealed stainless-steel enclosure makes the switchgear independent of environmental conditions, and its compact dimensions allow for highly efficient use of space. The system is maintenance-free and, with digital protection and control devices as well as integrated current and voltage sensors, enables modern and innovative substation and protection concepts.
