Hydrogen, ammonia & Co. as energy sources - Safety challenges (Lecture language: English)
The decarbonization of the economy and a secure energy supply require new approaches and the use of new energy sources. Hydrogen and its derivatives can offer solutions. The challenges lie primarily in new applications and the handling by new user groups. Against this background, existing security concepts must be questioned and new solutions developed.
• Potential energy sources of the future
• Special features and challenges associated with the use of basic chemicals in energy supply systems and as fuel
• Discussion of the conversion of existing facilities to new materials/requirements, e.g., from LNG terminals to H2 and H2 carriers or existing ammonia storage facilities
• CCS as a game changer - challenges
