Algeria is stepping up its efforts to diversify its energy mix and accelerate the transition towards renewables. The country aims to harness its vast natural potential in solar and wind energy while laying the groundwork for green hydrogen production.

At Husum Wind 2025, the Algerian-German Energy Partnership mandated by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE), will give insights in Algeria’s ambitions in the field of renewable energy and green hydrogen, with a particular focus on wind power and the role cooperations with Germany can play. Representatives from the Algerian Ministry of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energies (MEMER), next to the industry leaders SONATRACH and SONELGAZ will take part of this conference, setting the scene for what promises to be an inspiring bilateral dialogue between Algeria and Germany.

More than just a presentation, this session will be an invitation to discuss & explore how wind power can shape Algeria’s sustainable future and how this can involve opportunities for German business partners in the wind energy sector.
