Lifetime extension of offshore wind turbines in North and Baltic Sea: What should regulators do?
EnBW advocates for the longest possible lifetime extension of existing offshore wind farms. Just in time for the start of Husum Wind, a study from BDEW on lifetime extension of offshore wind farms has been published.
EnBW supports BDEW's call for lifetime extension but emphasizes that the focus should be on extending the operation of existing parks as long as technically and commercially feasible. EnBW presents its position on the continued operation of offshore wind farms in a separate paper.
Dr. Lisa Ziegler, corporate expert on continued operation at EnBW, and Jakob Eckardt, Unit Manager Offshore Wind at BDEW, will introduce the topic, the study's findings, and EnBW's position paper to you on Wednesday, September 17 at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m..
If you'd like to get an impression today, you can find the documents at the following links:
EnBW's position paper is available for download here (in German only).
The study, conducted by Fraunhofer IWES on behalf of BDEW, can be found here.
