Steel structures consist of thousands of galvanized screw connections, which must be screwed together during construction, sometimes at great heights.
With the help of DIBt-approved anti-rotation washers and the use of cordless or hydraulic torque wrenches, screw connections can be preloaded axially, without transverse forces and without external support, i.e., without reaction arms and counterholding wrenches, while simultaneously documenting the torque or angle of rotation. This makes assembly easier, safer, and can be carried out by one person.
