The network initiative "Mining & Generation Technology – Made in Germany" was launched in 2017 by companies along the mining value chain, as well as the Cottbus Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Brandenburg Economic Development Agency (WFBB). Since 2020, we have been working closely with the Saxony Economic Development Agency (WFS) and the Dresden Chamber of Industry and Commerce (Görlitz and Zittau offices).
MinGenTec primarily supports small and medium-sized enterprises and scientific institutions from Lusatia in developing new business areas and markets – through innovation, internationalization, and networking.
This includes practical offerings such as the Innovation Check, innovation workshops, the Market Development Check with customized market consulting, country workshops, and accompanied company trips.
Our goal is to secure, further develop, and highlight the region's expertise in mining and the energy industry, which has grown over decades. Regular network meetings create space for exchange and cooperation, while trade fair appearances showcase Lusatia's expertise nationally and internationally. A vibrant network of over 260 companies and research institutions has now emerged that is actively addressing the challenges of change.
