GAZ Notstromsysteme GmbH is a developer and manufacturer of emergency lighting – made in Germany! Additionally, the company plans, designs, and installs emergency power systems both nationally and internationally to ensure safety in sensitive infrastructures, including the offshore sector.
The roots of GAZ Notstromsysteme GmbH go back to the year 1884, when the company Friemann & Wolf Zwickau was founded – once the world's largest manufacturer of mining lamps. During the GDR era, the company operated under the name Grubenlampen- und Akkumulatorenwerk Zwickau (GAZ). After German reunification, the business field of emergency power systems was established and spun off as an independent company in 2005.
Today, GAZ employs over 100 staff and specializes in the planning and design of emergency lighting systems for all types of public buildings, industrial facilities, and many other clients in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Luxembourg.
The company’s in-house development and production of safety luminaires and device monitoring systems, as well as its comprehensive technical service by qualified service technicians, round out the full range of services offered by GAZ.
