Expert in gearbox testing for wind turbines (m/f/d)
Full-time position at DEKRA Automobil GmbH in Kassel (DE50846331-08) with assignments throughout Germany. Depending on your interests, the position can be based onshore or offshore.
About us
The Renewable Energies department is responsible for testing onshore and offshore wind turbines, hydrogen production and storage facilities, and solar PV systems. Our department supports DEKRA internally and externally with technical inspections ranging from approval procedures in accordance with the Federal Immission Control Act (BimSchG) and pre-commissioning inspections to recurring ZÜS inspections in accordance with the Industrial Safety Regulation (BetrSichV). We also deal with product development and training issues.
Tasks
- You will be responsible for testing gearboxes in wind turbines (WTGs) before initial commissioning and after modifications requiring testing, as well as for recurring inspections (WKP)
- You will also investigate damage to gearboxes
- You will take oil and grease samples and organise the analysis and evaluation of the results
- You will be skilled at creating test reports and technical expert opinions.
With your comprehensive specialist knowledge and trustworthy personality, you will be an important advisor for our customers - If you are interested, there is the possibility of expanding your field of activity to include the performance of recurring inspections of pressure vessels (ZÜS)
Qualifications
- Degree in mechanical engineering, tribology or a comparable technical field
Initial professional experience or training as a recognised expert - Aptitude for working at heights required to perform this job
Strong communication skills to create meaningful and accurate documentation and reports - Independent, responsible and customer-oriented approach to work
Proficient in MS Office - Class B driving licence and willingness to work in the field within Germany
