Bolt Technology – MADE IN GERMANY: HEICO Group celebrates 125 Years of Safety, Quality, and Innovation.

As a family-owned company, HEICO stands for quality and progress 'Made in Germany' with its wedge lock washers for bolt security, tensioning elements, and cold-formed parts – and is well positioned for the future.

HEICO Group

What Defines HEICO Products: Innovation and the Highest Standards of Quality

The HEICO Group stands for a broad portfolio of innovative solutions in bolt security, preload systems, and custom-engineered cold-formed parts – all proudly Made in Germany. The company’s core product segments include:

A trusted and certified solution for securing bolted joints, HEICO-LOCK® Wedge Locking Systems offer effective protection against self-loosening – under both high and low preloads, and especially in dynamic load conditions.

The latest innovation in this line are the HEICO-LOCK® Reaction Washers, launched in October 2024. Designed to enable safe, precise, and bending-moment-free tightening of large bolt connections, this new product sets a benchmark in user safety and assembly efficiency.

Traditionally, bolts larger than M24 required high-torque tools with reaction arms – heavy equipment that posed risks to both users and workpieces. With the HEICO-LOCK® Reaction Washers, standard torque tools can now be used for low-reaction, accurate tightening, dramatically improving safety and ease of use.

The innovation lies in the design: a pair of wedge lock washers with an integrated serrated ring, which absorbs the reaction torque directly within the washer system.

When paired with custom HEICO Dual Sockets, these washers are compatible with torque tools from almost any manufacturer. They provide outstanding protection against self-loosening caused by vibration and dynamic loading – even in the most demanding industrial environments.

The HEICO-TEC® series offers a comprehensive range of multi-bolt tensioning systems designed to preload large bolted joints easily, quickly, and precisely – without torsion. In most cases, a standard hand torque wrench is all that is needed. This is made possible by distributing the preload force of one large main thread across several smaller pressure bolts.

HEICO-FORM stands for high-precision cold-formed parts, including solid, semi-hollow, and hollow parts, knurled components, stepped bolts, ball studs, and threaded parts. Manufactured to customer specifications, these parts can reach lengths of up to 120 mm and head or flange diameters of up to 34 mm. Materials processed include steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, and special alloys with wire diameters ranging from 2 to 24 mm.

A modern production line equipped with powerful multi-stage presses and operating to the highest quality standards enables the replacement of cast or turned parts – even with tight tolerances.
As an IATF 16949-certified company, HEICO meets the strict quality and process requirements of the automotive industry.

Outstanding Service Without Borders

HEICO sees itself as a reliable partner to its customers from the very beginning – and sets quality standards that go far beyond the final product. This includes comprehensive technical support starting at the project planning stage, in-house testing laboratories, and a global sales and logistics network with local warehouses and distribution partners, ensuring fast availability and short delivery times worldwide.

Shaping the Future – Where Innovation Meets Sustainability

HEICO has always been a reliable partner and a consistent driver of innovation – in the past, today, and looking ahead. As a globally active family-owned business, the HEICO Group thinks across generations. The focus lies on long-term success to leave a well-positioned company and strong opportunities for future generations. A key part of this vision is setting a clear course for sustainability – taking responsibility not only for employees and society, but also for the careful use of natural resources.

This commitment is particularly important in an energy-intensive industry like metal processing – and HEICO is determined to lead by example. Between 2015 and 2025, the company successfully halved its consumption of natural gas and electricity by investing in more efficient technologies. Today, a combined heat and power plant supplies local heating, while waste heat from the combustion of regenerative fuels is repurposed. The heat treatment processes benefit from open-air cooling, and potentially hazardous operations such as electroplating have been shut down.

A significant contribution to clean energy also comes from HEICO’s own photovoltaic system, covering more than 6,600 square meters of rooftop space. As a result, the share of renewable energy used by the company will reach 21% in 2025 – with 35% targeted for 2026, and the trend continuing upward.

We have already achieved a great deal – but there is still much to do. And we are excited for what is ahead.
