At the opening of HUSUM WIND 2025, federal and state policymakers sent out a strong signal
HUSUM WIND 2025 kicks off with a clear signal from politics and business: Federal and state representatives emphasise the central role of wind energy for climate protection, independence and innovation.
Minister-President Daniel Günther emphasised:
“With the implementation of the Renewable Energy Directive, the energy transition in Germany will be accelerated and simplified. This gives us a great opportunity to reach our expansion goals. With determination, pioneering spirit and a dose of optimism, we remain committed to making Schleswig-Holstein climate neutral by 2040”.
Minister Tobias Goldschmidt adds:
“The energy transition in Schleswig-Holstein is the driving force and pioneer of Germany's transformation. Wind energy protects our climate, makes us independent of authoritarian regimes, and is a real location factor for the economy. What is needed now is a reliable and confident energy policy."
Federal Minister Stefan Rouenhoff also highlighted the importance of renewable energies:
“The Federal Government's stated goal is a secure and affordable energy system that enjoys broad support in our society and with which we can continue on the path to decarbonisation. Wind energy plays a central role in this. Renewable energies such as wind power, but also photovoltaics and biomass, have developed into a key pillar of our electricity supply.”
Over the next four days, 600 exhibitors from 23 countries will be showcasing cutting-edge technologies for the energy system of the future – from wind and hydrogen to digital solutions.
We are looking forward to inspiring exchanges, exciting innovations and driving transformation together!
