Amprion passes beneath Norderney
The offshore grid connection systems DolWin4 and BorWin4 pass beneath the island of Norderney on their way to the mainland. For this undercrossing, we use the horizontal directional drilling method. Watch the video to learn about the drilling process and environmental protection!
North Sea wind farms make a vital contribution to achieving Germany's climate targets. To enable offshore electricity to flow to western and southern Germany, Amprion is installing new transmission lines that connect the wind farms to the onshore power grid. The grid connection systems DolWin4 and BorWin4 pass beneath Norderney Island.
