Germanwatch is an independent development, environmental, and human rights organisation. We advocate sustainable global development based on social equity, respect for nature, and economic stability.
Germanwatch looks back on more than 30 years of advocacy and over 650 successful projects, establishing its reputation as an influential voice in civil society. The timely interventions of Germanwatch have set milestones in climate action and development policies in Germany, Europe and internationally.
At our offices in Bonn and Berlin, we work with more than 100 permanent and voluntary staff, supported by interns and young volunteers of the German Social Year service. In addition, we proud ourselves on a growing network of volunteers, honorary staff, as well as strong connections to politics, international organisations and the private sector.
