IG Metall Bezirk Küste is all about good work, co-determination, and social justice in the wind industry. Our members are shaping the energy transition – their commitment ensures better wages, safe working conditions, and high-quality training opportunities.
IG Metall Bezirk Küste represents the interests of employees in the wind industry along the north German coast – from production and maintenance to research and development. As a trade union, we are committed to good working conditions, co-determination and social justice.
Our members are shaping the transformation: they are involved in corporate development as works council members, negotiate collective agreements for fair wages and safe working conditions, and are politically active in support of a sustainable industrial policy. The focus is particularly on training, qualification and regional value creation.
Our works council survey provides in-depth insights into the economic situation of wind energy companies and the working conditions of 28,591 colleagues. It forms the
basis for political demands and operational improvements. We organise industry meetings for active members to share knowledge from operational
practice and discuss it with political decision-makers.
At HUSUM WIND, IG Metall Bezirk Küste will show how trade union involvement strengthens the future of the wind industry: socially, ecologically and democratically. We make it clear that good work and climate protection go hand in hand.
