Direct PV supply to municipal properties

The municipality of Grömitz is planning to build a PV system on a large public parking lot. The system is to be constructed as a canopy over the parking spaces. To increase economic efficiency, the possibility of supplying municipal properties from this PV system was investigated. Not only was the substitution of externally purchased electricity considered, but also the existing heat supply through electricity-based heat generation.
