Challenges and milestones in the context of the hydrogen ramp-up – Insights from the living labs of the energy transitio
The living labs of the energy transition are the first major implementation projects designed to drive the ramp-up of the hydrogen market and generate important learning experiences for the industry.
The living labs of the energy transition are the first major implementation projects designed to drive the ramp-up of the hydrogen market and generate important learning experiences for the industry. As first movers, they have been and continue to be confronted with complex challenges. While some projects have successfully addressed these challenges and are currently being implemented, others are struggling more with the complex mix of high production costs, lack of willingness to pay, and limited financial incentives. This presentation will take a closer look at these challenges as well as important milestones in the living labs and in the market ramp-up of hydrogen.
