The intelligent bolting system ITH Semi-Auto-Stretch with PD ALPHA documentation is the latest product from ITH Bolting Technology's Smart Tools family and a pioneering solution in the field of automated bolting for large bolt connections. Thanks to the software-assisted process and the automatic nut positioning after reaching the target pressure, the system enables complete "hands-free" bolting without manual intervention of the operator.
The high process reliability is achieved by independent control and monitoring variables. The system meets the requirements for category A bolt connection according to VDI 2862. All relevant bolting data such as working pressure pVH, initial assembly preload FVH, tightening torque MVM and angle of rotation α are recorded directly. The ITH PD ALPHA documentation system serves as a reliable storage location for this data and ensures continuous monitoring and quality assurance of each bolting operation.
The connection to the ITH Cloud enables comprehensive quality assurance in real time. Through web access, all relevant measured values can be documented online and statistically evaluated. In the event of limit value violations, errors, tool failures or downtimes, an immediate alarm can be triggered and future maintenance requirements can be predicted (predictive maintenance).
