The Highlights of HUSUM Wind 2015: Congress Programme and Excursions

Husum – Experience the shift to renewable energy first-hand and help shape the energy future – is the claim made by HUSUM Wind from 15 to 18 September. The approximately 20,000 visitors and over 600 exhibitors can expect an exciting programme covering the current challenges facing the wind industry. Information about the congress programme and the excursions are now available on the HUSUM Wind website with immediate effect.

05.08.2015 // HUSUM Wind offers an ambitious programme with press conferences, forums, workshops, panel discussions and seminars in September 2015. HUSUM Wind is well known as the traditional industry meeting place that guarantees an intensive discussion of current topics. Companies such as Vestas, Enercon, Siemens, Senvion, GE Wind, UKA, Ferchau and Deutsche Windtechnik are ready to engage in the Husum dialogue, along with the main industrial associations. New technology, maintenance, new tendering models and direct marketing are just a few of the topics that will be focused on in Husum.

Interesting excursions are also being offered on every day of the fair: in association with the network agency Windcomm Schleswig-Holstein and others, the organisers of the fair have arranged excursions in and around Husum. As well as an insight into the subject of Production & Technical Innovation with site visits to turbine manufacturer Senvion and the new wind test field on the outskirts of Husum, the highlights also include an excursion to the Reussenköge (Dirkshof) Communal Wind Farm with project developers GP Joule (“Citizens’ Energy & Energy Storage”): the tour centres on power-to-gas technology.

Another highlight is the visit to the OffTEC Training Centre (“Training for On and Offshore Wind Energy”), with demonstrations of sea survival training that includes wave and weather scenarios. It will also be possible to view the training tower used for practising rescue from height.

The exhibition programme is rounded off with the Windcareer job fair, which actively brings together wind industry enterprises, training institutions and employers with potential employees, and which presents the variety of professional opportunities and entry opportunities in the industry.
