Cooperation agreement signed
As announced last April, the Hamburg and Husum exhibition companies have now concluded a contract defining their cooperation as organisers of WindEnergy Hamburg and HUSUM Wind.
While Hamburg will be concentrating on the complete international wind market, HUSUM Wind will focus on the markets in Germany and its neighbouring regions. Since the wind industry is native to northern Germany and Denmark, at the Husum fair one will still be able to find the latest innovations in wind technology, which are also important for the global wind market. Major entreprises such as GE, Siemens, Vestas, Nordex and Senvion (formerly Repower) have already booked for HUSUM Wind, and with still 18 months to go exhibitor reservations are well into three figures.
The cooperation between Husum and Hamburg ensures that the most important shop window for the wind industry stays in North Germany, where it has been for the last 25 years.
The new cooperation has been welcomed by leading industry associations VDMA and the German Wind Energy Association (BWE). "For the German Wind Energy Association the main thing is that both of these trade fairs represent the great contribution that wind power makes to the energy transition," says BWE president Sylvia Pilarsky-Grosch, "The clearly defined priorities of the two exhibitions will also emphasise the growing importance of the industry for Germany as an base for industry and innovation."
HUSUM Wind 2015
For a quarter of a century Husum has been synonymous with the wind industry. This is where the industry gets together in a very special atmosphere right in the middle of wind pioneer country, surrounded by prototype test fields, exemplary communal wind farms, wind training institutions and other renewable energy businesses. In Husum you can see wind power in practice.
