Congress topics provide important inspiration for the industry

HUSUM WindEnergy 2012

Husum, 16 August 2012 – The global wind industry once again expects fresh inspiration and new impetus from the 2012 gathering in Husum. Important industry topics will be discussed at the congress held parallel to HUSUM WindEnergy, the leading international trade fair. The congress programme includes panel discussions, lectures, product presentations, workshops and consultation sessions for professionals. Admission to the congress is included in the price of admission to the trade fair.

With the parallel congress, HUSUM WindEnergy offers the industry a welcome platform for professional exchange of know-how and experience, and for discussing important topics for the future. Be it smart grid, measurement technology, meteorological models, port cooperation projects or acoustic emissions – around 200 speakers from all over the world will be talking about the prevailing industry topics at over 75 congress sessions. The range of topics is very diverse: numerous leading enterprises will be presenting their latest product innovations, associations will be reporting on political developments in the energy sector, service providers will be providing advice on more than just technical issues, and much more is also on offer. With talks by select experts from scientific establishments, NGOs and business enterprises, the World Wind Energy Association (WWEA) provides information on the topic of operation and maintenance of wind turbines. Congress attendees will receive relevant estimates of the status quo, the challenges and latest developments in this field.

Project financing despite the euro crisis

The management consultants from Ernst & Young show what is important when it comes to financing wind energy projects during the euro crisis. A series of presentations and discussions will also deal with the role that development banks will play in the future, and if and how the EU targets for the wind sector can be financed.

11th Windcommunity Treffen – Schleswig-Holstein invites the world to network

All the decision makers in the wind industry in Schleswig-Holstein meet at the regular windcommunitytreffen. The 11th meeting is specifically aimed at international participants so that they can get to know Schleswig-Holstein and its wind entrepreneurs. In the supporting programme Andreas Nauen, CEO of REpower, and other speakers will be talking on the subjects of climate change, the energy transition and the financial crisis. This will be followed by a humorous interlude before the guests move on to the Strandkorb Party.

Good vibrations at the measurement technology day

Innovative measurement and sensor technology are key technologies in the development and operation of wind turbines. This is why leading suppliers from this field are going on a Good Vibrations Tour of Germany in September, and why they will of course also be appearing in Husum.
